About "Night Horse" Ranch

The name Night Horse Ranch comes from the cattle trail drives in the Old West of long ago. In darkness of night, cowboys used their most trusted mounts to ride night watch over the herd and to gather the rest of the horses before day light. These night horses were calm, sure footed and dependable in any situation.

Night Horse Ranch and Markway Arena are developments of Marc & Jude Markway, lifelong central Missouri residents. Marc is a veterinarian, with much of his practice devoted to equine medicine. He and his family raise Quarter and Paint horses as well as Corriente cattle, and enjoy activities surrounding these animals. Jude is a general contractor who specializes in remodeling homes in and around the Jefferson City area. As well, he and his family enjoy many types of hunting and are very involved and committed to wildlife management. The two brothers have combined their interests, experience and talents to bring you Night Horse Ranch and Markway Arena.
